STRYPER Cancel Mexican Festival Appearance

November 18, 2004

Reunited Christian hard rockers STRYPER have cancelled their previously announced appearance at the Revolution Metal Fest in Mexico City on November 20, 2004. An official statement from STRYPER's management reads as follows:

"The cancellation comes by way of the promoter of the Revolution Metal Fest who failed to secure proper work visas and documents needed for the band to travel to and perform in Mexico. Efforts were made by all parties in the STRYPER camp to make this show a reality. The late cancellation is the result of extreme work and 'scrambling' at the last minute in a desperate attempt to keep the date as scheduled.

"Unfortunately, the entire situation is out of STRYPER's control, as all the paperwork needed to travel to and perform in Mexico City, is controlled by the local Mexican authorities and promoters.

"Again, STRYPER deeply apologizes for this inconvenience, and would like to reiterate that the situation is completely out of their hands. The band had already come together and began their travel preparations when this cancellation came in early this morning.

"There are no plans to reschedule the event, but should that change it will be announced to the Stryper.com email list.

"Ticket refunds can be directed to Ticketmaster or the promoter at [email protected]

"All other questions may be directed to Deep South Entertainment at [email protected]."
